Just as on your own teeth, harmful bacterial plaque is deposited on the surface of dentures.

If these bacterial deposits are not thoroughly removed, gingivitis, bad breath and even caries on the remaining own teeth can be the result. To thoroughly remove these deposits, dentists recommend mechanical cleaning with a toothbrush.
Since conventional toothpastes contain abrasives that roughen the denture surface and thus promote bacterial colonization, they are not recommended for cleaning third teeth.
Special cleaners such as COREGA® PURFRISCH®, on the other hand, are gentle on the material, as they contain no abrasives and have been specially developed for cleaning dentures.
